Learner Guide
Getting started with LearnKiowa
Use this guide to understand the basic learner flow: request access, wait for approval, enroll in a module, start lessons, practice flashcards, and continue from your dashboard.
Request learner access
Use the registration form to create an account application. Enter only the information requested by the site.
Open registrationWatch for your approval email
After you submit the access request, LearnKiowa will review it. Protected modules and lessons are available only after your account is approved. Watch your email for the approval message with your username, login link, and password setup link.
Browse modules
Use the module catalog to search for available learning modules, review the summary, and check the level, duration, enrollment type, and lesson outline.
Browse modulesEnroll and start lessons
Open a module, enroll when available, then start lessons from the module outline. Protected lesson materials appear only after your access is allowed.
Find a moduleContinue from your dashboard
After signing in, your dashboard shows enrolled modules, progress, next lessons, exam status, and completion records when they are available.
Open dashboardPractice flashcards
Use the Flashcards page to review cards from modules you are enrolled in without opening each lesson one at a time.
Open flashcardsComplete required work
Some modules or lessons may include completion buttons, exams, feedback, or certificates. These options appear only when an instructor has enabled them.
Review progressWhat learners should know
- A pending account cannot access protected learning material until it is approved.
- Public module pages may show summaries and lesson outlines, but protected lesson content requires the correct learner access.
- Private resources, exams, feedback, and certificates appear only when they are part of the selected module or lesson.
- The Flashcards page gathers cards only from modules your account can access; it does not make locked module content public.
- Your progress and submissions belong to your account and are not visible to other learners.
- If something looks locked or unavailable after approval, check your dashboard before starting over.
