Kiowa Help Phrases

Also known as survival phrases in adult Indigenous language learning, these are key phrases, known as “Kiowa Help Phrases” to support Kiowa language learning in interactions with Elder Mentors and fluent Kiowa speakers. The use of these phrases will facilitate the Kiowa language learner’s ability to think in Kiowa and stay in the Kiowa language without breaking into English unless absolutely necessary.
